Enrolling Okta FastPass on Windows 365 (W365)

This guide is for Samsara users on a Windows 365 (W365) virtual desktop. If you use a Mac, see Enrolling Okta FastPass on macOS. If you use a physical Samsara-managed Windows laptop, see Enrolling Okta FastPass on Windows.

This guide walks you through how to enroll in Okta FastPass on a Windows 365 (W365) virtual desktop and use it to sign in to Samsara apps without typing your password each time. 

Step 1 — Enroll Samsara Account to Okta FastPass

1. Inside your Windows 365 session, check your system tray (bottom-right of your screen) for the Okta Verify icon . Click it and select “Open Okta Verify”.
2. Click Get Started. Your browser will open to samsara.okta.com.

   • Sign in to Okta with username and password.

3. When prompted, approve the request to link your device. This registers your W365 in Okta for FastPass.
4. Enable Passcode when directed.
   • ⚠️ Save this passcode in 1Password — there is no recovery or reset option for this passcode. If lost, you will need to re-enroll your account completely.

You are now setup with Okta FastPass, move to Step 2 on how to use FastPass.

Step 2 — Sign-in using Okta FastPass on your Windows 365 (W365) 

After your account is added to Okta Verify on your phone, FastPass is ready to use from inside your W365.

1. Inside your Cloud PC, go to samsara.okta.com in your browser.
2. On the sign-in screen type in your username and click next.
3. When prompted confirm with Passcode you have created. You should be signed in without entering your password.
