Joining and Leaving a Zoom Breakout Room

How to join and leave an open Zoom breakout room.

1. Click Breakout Rooms in the bottom of your Zoom meeting window.
   • Note: the Breakout Rooms button may be nested under More
2. In the pop up that appears, click Join next to the Room you would like to join.
3. When it is time to return to the main session, click Leave Room in the bottom right hand corner of your Zoom meeting window.
   • A pop up will appear, click Leave Breakout Room. Heads up, there is also a button to leave the meeting in this pop up. So be careful to select the right button.
