Slack at Samsara

Goal: Learn how to sign into Slack and add apps to Slack.

Signing into Slack

1. Open Slack through Okta
   

Signing In

1. Slack opens in Chrome, but the desktop version is recommended.
2. Click "Samsara" in the upper-left corner.

3. Choose "Open the Slack App" (last option in the list).
4. Follow pop-up prompts to sign in to Slack.

Connecting Apps to Slack

1. In Slack's left sidebar, click "More" at the top, then select "Apps."
2. Search and select "Google Calendar."
3. Click the "messages" tab at the top.
4. Click "connect account" at the bottom.
5. A new Chrome window opens - Allow connection and sign in.

Connecting Zoom

1. Return to "Apps" section by clicking "more."
2. Search and select "Zoom."
3. Click the "messages" tab.
4. Click "authorize Zoom."
5. Create Zoom meetings from Slack by typing /zoom.

Connecting Samsara GPT

1. Return to "Apps" section by clicking "more."
2. Search and select "Samsara GPT."
3. Wait for the bot to load and it will connect automatically.
